From The Horses Mouth – Why GOP Economics Are Bad For All

Hello dear reader(s)!

“Oh, God, not another political opinion from Josh!”

No, my dear reader(s), the video I am sharing with you today is from a billionaire (with a B) named Nick Hanauer.  That’s right, I share an economic opinion with a billionaire.  (Didn’t think that was possible, did you?)  The fact of the matter is that GOP policies and trickle down economics are so bad, they aren’t just bad for the poor, or the middle class…but as Nick will explain, they are also bad for business and the economy as a whole.

Please enjoy this enlightening and entertaining video, from a billionaire.

  1. Hanauer made the case effectively. Of course, he is preaching to the converted. I have had this discussion with family members (in-laws) and they laugh at me. I lived in South America in a two-class country. It wasn’t pretty, for either class, nor for me as a guest with no particular slot to fit into. It made me realize even then, where this country would be headed if we subscribed to similar a economic model. And now we do.

    1. CEO’s think in the short-term for their shareholders, and not in the long-term for the health of their companies or the economy at large. Drop costs but moving jobs to cheaper labor markets, exploit them, and move to the next when they start demanding better pay. And on and on it goes until they have no customers left, and nowhere else to go. The other show will drop for them, but for our country, it always has.
